JACX Property was engaged by the vendor of Kostka Hall, Brighton to provide specialist Transaction Management services on the sale of its iconic site.

This was an extremely rare opportunity, and the first time the property had been offered for sale in over 70 years. The property attracted broad ranging interest from local and international developers, educational institutions and major developers in the healthcare, aged care and retirement living sectors. A prominent local private developer secured the site at the end of the Expressions of Interest process.

As part of our engagement, JACX delivered the following :

• Independent Transaction Management of the sale;
• In conjunction with the vendor, the tender and appointment of sales agent, Colliers;
• Management of the day-to-day liaison between Colliers and the vendors;
• Working alongside Colliers to complete campaign material and co-ordination of all property inspections;
• Providing reporting and program updates to the vendor as required;
• Independent review of all purchase offers to ensure transparency throughout the sales process;
• Provision of negotiation and strategy advice to Colliers to ensure the optimal outcome was achieved for the vendor;
• Providing advice to the vendor throughout the project to ensure all decisions were in the vendor’s best interests;
• Remaining hands on during the settlement period to ensure all risks were mitigated.
